ZTE AXON Mini B2015 / C880 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3928T44P8h475371)
This is a 3.8V, 2800mAh lithium-polymer battery for the ZTE AXON Mini B2015 and C880 series smartphones. It replaces OEM part Li3928T44P8h475371, which powers the display, modem, and processor. Fits the B2015, C880, C880A, and C880S, plus seven additional variants that share the same cell format and connector.
- AXON Mini and C880 platform compatibility: These models share the same 70.00 × 52.60 × 4.60mm cell footprint, identical flex connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake voltage thresholds. One cell revision covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the B2015 mainboard. The BMS accepted charge current without error, voltage held steady under display and modem load, and thermal output stayed within the phone's charge IC limits.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the AXON Mini after a cell swap
A new cell has a slightly different voltage-versus-capacity curve than the original. The fuel gauge IC still uses the old curve stored in its coulomb counter. When voltage drops under modem or screen load, the IC reads 20–30% remaining but the real cell voltage has already crossed the cutoff threshold. The BMS shuts the phone down to protect the cell. One full discharge and charge cycle at standard rate forces the IC to resync its curve to the new cell.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
After a cell swap, the charge IC on the B2015 may default to a conservative current limit on the first charge session. The BMS needs to complete one handshake cycle before the phone's charge controller re-enables higher current modes. If fast charge is not triggering, complete one full standard charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger. Fast charge should resume from the second session once the BMS has confirmed cell state to the charge IC.
