This is a 3.8V, 1900mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the original battery in the ZTE Blade Vantage 2 (Z3153, Z3153VPP) and Blade A3 2019. It matches the OEM part number Li3820T43P4h695945 and fits the original battery bay without modification. Capacity is 1900mAh — identical to the factory cell.
- Blade Vantage 2 and Blade A3 2019 fit: Both devices share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. The Z3153 and Z3153VPP variants use the same voltage rail and BMS handshake, so one cell covers all four model numbers listed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Z3153 platform. The BMS accepted charge from both wall adapters and USB ports without triggering a cutoff or rejection flag.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This allows the fuel gauge IC to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the Blade Vantage 2 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Z3153 uses a fuel gauge IC that stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. When you install a new cell, the IC still references that old curve. The percentage reading drifts — often showing full when the cell is not, or dropping fast near the bottom. One complete discharge cycle, down to automatic shutdown and then a full uninterrupted charge, resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual behaviour. After that single cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell
This happens when the modem or display draws peak current and the cell voltage collapses below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped where the new cell's voltage cliff sits under load. A full discharge-charge calibration cycle corrects the mismatch. If shutdowns continue after two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partially connected cell adds resistance and accelerates voltage sag to the 2.5V cutoff.
