- NX529 and NX529J compatibility: Both NX529 variants share the same battery tray geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. The fuel gauge IC reads the same charge curve across both board revisions.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an NX529J board. The BMS accepted full charging current without tripping, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge accurately from cycle two onward.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nubia Z11 mini
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem's minimum rail requirement under load — even though the percentage display still reads 20–30%. Aged cells have a steeper voltage cliff: small current spikes from LTE or the display push voltage below the cutoff threshold faster than the fuel gauge IC can track. A replacement cell with a flatter discharge curve eliminates the cliff. After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to empty and charge to 100% — the coulomb counter resets its zero and full reference points against the new curve.
Phone shows wrong battery percentage after cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the NX529 board stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. After a swap, it applies that old curve to the new cell's voltage readings, producing inaccurate percentages — often jumping or landing far off actual charge state. This corrects itself after one complete discharge-charge cycle without interruption. Drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before unplugging. The coulomb counter recalibrates its endpoints and percentage tracking stabilises from the next cycle forward.
