This is a 3.7V, 170mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the ZTE Z6200MEX mobile hotspot and the AT41 / 2AHR8-AT41 / SD6200 variants. It replaces OEM part Li3702T42P3h292833 when the original cell degrades and can no longer sustain the hotspot through normal use. Voltage and physical dimensions match the original: 38.53 × 30.64 × 6.16mm.
- Z6200MEX and AT41 platform compatibility: These models share the same cell format, voltage rail, and BMS handshake requirements. The SD6200 and 2AHR8-AT41 variants use the same connector orientation and protection circuit, so one cell covers the full platform.

Hotspot disconnecting users mid-session on a new battery
The Z6200MEX runs both a cellular modem and a Wi-Fi radio simultaneously. At maximum client connections, the combined current draw spikes well above the steady-state average the 170mAh cell is rated against. If the BMS detects voltage sag past its lower threshold during one of these spikes, it trips the output to protect the cell — dropping all connected devices instantly. Reduce the maximum connected client count in the hotspot settings, or move the unit closer to the cellular tower so the modem runs at reduced output power.
Hotspot won't power on after sitting unused for several weeks
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month at room temperature, and the Z6200MEX draws a small standby current even when powered off. After extended storage, the cell can drop below the BMS minimum boot voltage — typically around 3.0V — and the unit appears completely dead. Connect the original ZTE charger and leave it for at least 30–45 minutes before attempting to power on; the BMS needs time to re-initialise from a deeply depleted state. If the charge indicator does not respond after one hour, check the charger output with a multimeter — it should read 5V DC.
